Born and raised on Oahu, Emily Cristobal has always had a passion for telling people's stories.

She often claims her decision to pursue journalism comes from her love of talking story.

From topics on diversity and inclusion to environmental issues and community needs, Emily hopes to make news and information more accessible through online platforms and social media — especially reaching younger generations.

She hopes to create content that is not only educational but also inspires people to make positive changes.

Along with her duties as a Digital Producer, she also hosts "The Debrief," breaking down the latest happenings in Hawaii from top issues to insights into our state government, as well as the "Repairing Earth" podcast, which showcases the people who are fighting climate change in our own backyard.

Emily graduated from Emerson College with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and has experience in documentary/narrative nonfiction, environmental studies and marketing.
